1. Choose a reference with room to move
Use a sharp JPG, PNG, or WebP under 4 MB. Show the whole part of the subject that needs to move. A character cropped at the hands leaves the model less information for a gesture. Leave extra room around a product if you want a gentle camera move. You can create or edit the reference in the image studio first.
2. Pick Animate an image and a model
In Create video, choose a model that supports image input, select Animate an image, and upload the reference. H3 Max offers a 6-second clip: 60 credits at 480P, 96 at 768P, or 192 at 1080P on current plans. Start at the lower setting when exploring motion. Other models have their own fixed duration, supported shapes, and prices.
3. Describe the action instead of re-describing the picture
The image already supplies the subject and setting. Tell the model how the subject should move: a small head turn, a slow fabric movement, or a gentle drift of steam. Add one camera direction such as a locked camera or a slow push in. Asking for several scene changes in a short clip often creates an abrupt or inconsistent result.
4. Use frames and audio deliberately
Some models support a first and last frame or up to three reference images. Those modes are separate from a single-image animation and require their own inputs. Optional generated audio is available only on supported models and may change the price. Check the total shown in the studio; do not assume every model includes an audio switch.
5. Watch the whole result before downloading
Check the beginning, middle, and final frame for warped faces, changing logos, flickering textures, and unexpected objects. Check any audio too. If the movement is too strong, simplify the instruction and ask for a smaller action. Find finished clips in My creations and download a local copy when you are happy with the result.
