1. Prepare one clear reference
Photograph the complete product with even light and enough space around its edges. Avoid hands covering the label, strong glare, and a crop that cuts off the base. Export one JPG, PNG, or WebP under 4 MB. The image editor accepts one reference per generation, so choose the angle that matters most.
2. Separate the product from the scene in your prompt
Start by naming what must stay: the shape, materials, label, color, and camera angle. Then describe the surface, background, light direction, and mood you want to change. A short specific direction is easier to evaluate than a list of competing styles.
3. Choose a shape for the destination
A square gives a product listing room to breathe. A vertical composition can leave space above the product for a story headline; a landscape frame can work for a site banner. Select a supported aspect ratio before generating. Use Nano Banana Pro at 2K for a first draft; it costs 50 credits on current plans. Its 4K option costs 100 credits.
4. Inspect the product before the atmosphere
Zoom in on logos, label spelling, lids, handles, stitching, and transparent parts. Compare them with the original. Check that the product touches its surface, that its shadow follows the light, and that reflections do not invent extra edges. If the product changed, simplify the prompt and repeat the details to preserve.
5. Build a small, consistent series
Keep the reference, model, lighting words, and aspect ratio consistent while varying just the background. Review each output separately: identical instructions do not guarantee identical results. Download the approved files and keep the original reference beside them for a final comparison.
Start with this direction
Keep the product in the reference image unchanged: preserve its exact silhouette, color, material, packaging, and label. Replace only the surroundings with a warm ivory studio and a matte stone plinth. Use soft window light from the upper left and a subtle contact shadow beneath the product. Keep a clean space above it for a headline. Do not add text, objects, hands, or extra products.Open a matching starter in the studio →
The studio opens a related starter prompt. Replace it with the direction above or adapt it to your image. These instructions are creative suggestions, not guaranteed results.
Before you publish
- Tiny writing may be regenerated incorrectly. Do not publish an invented label or claim.
- Glass and glossy packaging need extra inspection around edges and reflections.
- For another revision, return to the original reference to reduce accumulated changes.
- A finished AI edit should show the product accurately; it should not imply a feature it does not have.
